Looking for a good used 16 classic. Not as worried about the year, but would like V-8 power and thru hull exhaust. Must be in good shape and lake ready.

Except that the year affects the price. Based on your post, you could be looking at anything from the 1960's to 2005 and $5k to $25k.

You need to provide more specifics as to your wants and needs.

Yes, Jackson is a great place to live. I had a 16 in Georgia years ago and now I have the itch again. Plus, I have lived here 12 years and have never seen a Donzi on any of the lakes near by. I hope to have the only one in Jackson when I find the right boat.

Sorry about not being more specific about what I am looking for. 1990 to present with a 5.7 if possible. I am going to lose about 20% of my horsepower at this elevation and the bigger the engine the better. I might have found one from a member in Iowa. Looking to spend up to 13,000.00. Hope this helps.

Interesting - the one you had in Georgia - was it green and white?

I bought one in Marietta and ran it on Lanier until the mid '90s. I still have it - runs like a top - '66 289/250 IO.

Although I have seen Donzi's on Lake Lanier, ours was on Lake Burton in North Georgia. I was age 8-17 when we had it and one of my fondest memories as a kid growing up was running around in our 16. It was the fastest boat on the lake, sounded great and was light blue and white. Left hand steering, Holman Moody, the works. Ever since those days, I have wanted a 16. Maybe trying to relive my childhood or whatever. My father sold it when I just turned 17 becuase it was not "practical" and purchased a bow rider ski boat. He is right, there is nothing "practical" about a Donzi and that is the way it should be!

wow,,,, deja vu.....

I spent many summers in Clayton, and on Lake Burton, I kinda remember that boat, more of a medium blue than light blue, if I remember right...

No, it was more light blue, but I remember the one you are talking about. My dad didn't run it much. There were also 2 or 3 on Lake Rabun. I remember one that was just like ours and a red one with black interior (Testarossa?) on Rabun. We were always racing the old Tahiti Jets with the huge engines and pipes, until they were outlawed on Burton. We would kick their asses! Lot of noise with nothing to back them up.
