1979 Donzi Sweet 16 weight

Hey everyone, I just got my first donzi, a 1979 sweet 16' and I am pumped about it!

I am looking for an estimate on how much the boat weighs so I know if I need a different tow vehicle ... I have an Audi allroad that can handle up to 3300 lbs.

I don't want my car to take a swim off the launch ramp, so I am trying to figure out how much it weighs. I plan to take the rig to a public scale once I get the chance, but wanted to see if anyone had a ballpark estimate.

Trailer is a galvanized Rocket single axle (original with this year) I think a rough estimate around 600 lbs???

The engine is a 350 long block with chrystler 300 (? may have the wrong #) outdrive

Donzi list the estimated weight of the new 16s as 2500 pounds on their web site, but I was able to find from NADA that the 1979 weighed in at 2150 pounds.

Either way when factoring in fuel and gear, I think I am awfully close to the limit.
