6 or 8? Alison tranny? Damn this is taking them a lot of time to put a diesel in this turd. No wonder they're going bankrupt. How long does it take to turn this battleship? 07 diesel standards have already been in place.

Sorry for the rant

I have it on VERY good info you won't see it in '07..... and that comes from a very good friend of mine who is in charge of assembly line design in Flint, MI.

I would have one in a New York minute if I could..... GM, in all it's stupidness, also killed the 8.1 in the 'Burb for '07. Which killed the tow ratings, which killed a TON of buyers, which killed... you get the picture :bonk: :bonk:

No Excursion, No big 'Burb.... no nuttin'....

Buizilla, I'm not buying it! Even the upper echilon doesn't know what the hell GM wil do. They just completed a building to manufacture nothing but 6 cylinder Duramaxes to meet all the 07 EPA CRAP! Like u said they discontinued the 8.1 gas so what the heck are they gonna used to tow in the 3/4 and one tons? Iffin u like under the hood of even a 1/2 ton tahoe you'll see dual battery wells  I predict they will be released in August or September.

I just hope after chopping off two cylinders the 6 will still have 600 ft/lbs to turn my fordys.

Rootsy, Did they release the half ton gas yet? I had two orders for loaded LT 06 3/4 ton 8.1 4x4, They just missed getting p/u up by two weeks the dealer told me back in Dec I think  I need these damn things yesterday. Gonna put 16" suspension lifts on em and wrap em. I'm expecting them the third quarter of this year. Like I told Buizilla the dual battery wells are a give away and GM doesn't have a towing motor so you do the math.

hummmmm.....

I've been thinking about selling my loaded 8.1 L 3/4 ton 4x4 Yukon XL - it's more than I need. Would there be interest out there since new options aren't available?
