I'm posting my 16, it has no engine. It had a chevy 350, but it's no longer with us. All parts to assemble are included: aluminum Edlebrock exhaust manifolds, Edlebrock carburetor, starter, alternator, intake.....and all other parts. Paint is not original, nor perfect. This boat would make a great hot rod, but in my estimation not economical to make original. Make your own decision, I'm only trying to give the best description I can. I have a trailer but don't have the title for the trailer, but that can be worked out. The boat does have a title. For someone looking to go cheap, here it is... get a long block, assemble and run it.
Price $2500.00

How about the rest of the story on this boat? What hapened to the cockpit liner? Was this a 2+2 and do you still have the rest of the seating?

I think the 2+2 seating arrangement came about in the 90's under AMH ownership.

Does this hull happen to have a HIN# stamped into the transom on the starboard side? The reason I ask is, Donzi stopped making the 16 in 1980, and brought it back in 1990 - so an '85, with no title, and no cockpit liner seems a bit more like a splash of some sort. But, if it has a HIN#, then maybe it was an earlier hull that just had an odd restoration completed at some point in its life...

Either way, you've definitely priced it fairly, and it does look like a fun little hull....just trying to clear up some of the mystery.

First I'd like to say this a great forum and my first time using one like this, so please be patient with me. The boat does have a title and HIN# that I'll post when I get home.

The seating is not original, the floors were redone prior to my ownership which I bought this boat around 1994 or 95. I never liked the job that was done nor did I like the arrangement. It was 2+2 buckets in front beanch across back. I still have the bottom and back and can provide thos photos in the next couple of days. I wanted more leg room because I was always crushing my legs in rough water. So when it was time to redo the floors I cut out and made room for my legs in the cockpit. Before you couldn't even walk between the front seats. The rear bench however I made into two seperate seats utilizing the old bench and modifying it.

This boat was not original when I bought it and at the time and budget I had it was the best I could do. I was around 22 and was on a serious budget, but wanted something nobody in Indiana had ( a cool boat). No internet at the time so I searched long and hard.

Engine cover is obviously not stock, it has a scoop. The motor it came with had high rise manifold, I was not a big fan of it. All top end no grunt. I replaced it with a performer manifold and got rid of the Holley carb, to use all edlebrock.

Hope this helps!

By the way this was taken at Geist.
