I am working on the Magnum again and need to pull the engine/outdrive to redo the transom. The Intertec shop manual says to remove some the suspension pin lock screw, well.... I can't find whatever they are talking about. Where the drive pivots up and down, there is a hole with some 1/4x20 threads in the bottom. The hole is surrounded by some sort of ring with two slots cut in it.

Anybody got some advice? I can get pictures tomorrow if needed. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, those are 5/16 threads in the hole.

Those slots are the pins they are used to rotate the pins to the propper position .Just screw a bolt in there and pull out!Try twisting with the bolt and wd40 you must have the locking bolts out of the pins .

Ralph, thanks for the advice. It helped.

As it turns out, I think it is a 270T, not a 275. Anyway, the drive is off and the engine is ready to come out. The transom is in much better condition than anticpated. Looks like 3 layers of 3/4" and in pretty good shape.
