Things I don't understand Part I. Why is Carol Shelby putting his name on a GM product?

Guess everyones for sale lol, What a country!

it is great looking but would be even nicer if it had a nice big block ford in there like the old shelby days

either way though, i just blew my load:bonk:

Maybe its just me, but I would think if you were going to do that boat right you would have a ford racing engine under the hood.. Lets face it the boat looks like an Eleanor Cobra. Why not complete the look under the hood. Hey it was not too long ago that the engines powering Donzis were made by Ford. my 2 cents

Maybe because none of the major engine builders offer a Hi-Perf Ford marine engine. Just a guess.......

For my money I would save 15g's and forgo the shebly stickers and lil cockpit trim accessories and get a new on for fiddy.

I'm just sayin'

Just curious..... wasn't there a board member in TX that had a VERY similiar boat that was stolen from his dealership when it was in for service.....? I'm not saying this is the boat but he had a silver 22 Shelby.....:eek!: :(

Never mind..... I just found his post.... It was a gray 22GT.... Not a Shelby. My bad...

Ford never made a good performance motor for boats, I remember when Wellcraft used them in the Novas 351 Windsor motors, The 427 Block was the Inteceptor that was used in big Cruisers and the biggest problem was the oil ports would always plug up.
There are many differences in the 22 Shelby to a regular Classic thats why the price is about $7,000 higher.
