Got home today to find a nice present, a new mohogany back porch. Looks real nice and I would like to keep it looking good, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Mahogany Back Porsche's (note correct spelling) are as rare as Mercer Race-abouts and Rolls Royce Boat-tail Roadsters. All have gleaming deck work and meticulous joinery like a classic Chris Craft.
What?
uh...
oh...
Never mind!

Phil, I'm a fan of letting it go grey, it gives me more time for boating. If you want it to stay more brown, Ben. Moore clear, 2 coats to start, a lite power wash and new coat once a year, has worked well for me.
The deck in the picture is 6 years old.

Thanks Mike I was going to try Thomsons but thought I would reach out for an opinion or two.

phil ,if its going to get plenty of sun you should use a exterior spar varnish. First coat should be thinned 50 % then two full strenght coats to follow. You will have to put a coat on every year to keep it up though. A true marine varnish would probably work the best but its pricy.

Phil; Tear it out and install Trex, 100% maintenance free..
Then, install that beautiful wood on the deck of your Donzi:bonk: ...Ed
