Just wondering where PMReed's message thread about a Benchseat for sale on ebay disappeared to? The boat is still on ebay.

My guess is that the Harbormaster deep sixed it...by accident of course. He's putting in long hours in the forum conversion and things will probably just happen. No problem. WOW!

This might be the only one of its kind with the factory porta-potty, Bench Seat and Outdrive. I've only seen one other Bench with a stern drive. It was called "The Sting" and the guy wanted $22K for it. Don't understand the 302 though. That's a little underpowered for this boat.

Once again....all stern drive bench seat Hornets had 302 Fords. Also..."The Sting" has another owner......:eek!:

As far a this Benchseat on ebay. Go look at this boat first. If your not willing to do alot of wood and balsa core work then dont bother buying it. They ALL need it. Unless its been in the garage for the past 30+ years.

Guys, I have seen 7 of these boats and they all have had coring issues. I'm not saying dont buy it....just be ready to spend a ton of money and time on it.

My friend Danny's Bench Seat that arrived here after a search on Boat Trader (following a ride on the St T) had a 289 Holman Moody / Volvo 270 .
The next owner was told that there was 'something unusual' about the power plant and H/M wanted to buy the engine back.
Never knew what happened next.
