I finally got one. My brohter and I just purchased the 04 22 anniversary edition on saturday. What a great boat. Love it. Its been a long search but we found it. Had it out on Monday and I must tell you it scares me, so much power. It has the 496 mag not ho but wow. I need to learn how to drive it.. Seems loose in the turns at higher speeds. My trim tab abilities gotta get better. Anyways does anyone know where I can buy a ladder for it? Also does anyone know how many 04 anniversary editions where made?
By the way I want to thank all the members that helped me in my seach. Your advice has helped me greatly. Thanks.

Congrats and welcome to the club. I would like to add a glass swim platform to mine with foldable ladder. I wonder if anyone knows who makes a sleek one.

Try Jamie at Lakeside. Do a search and I think you'll find a few more options also.

How about some photos of your new ride?

Later,

Way to go Schaf! Nice color if I do say so myself. My 1st ride scared the crap out of me. Check this out: http://www.donzi.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44610
I've only been out on mine 4x's (6hrs total), but the difference in control is amazing compared to the 1st time.

What hull # did you get? I have #22.

Congrats on your new boat!!!! I am not sure but I think that makes 3 2004 40th anniversary editions bought in the last few months. Gene Weeks from the factory in Sarasota took me out for my first ride & it was great!!!!!!!! When I took over the helm & ran it, it was a whole different story. He spent about an hour teaching me how to handle the boat & I am still having trouble feeling like I am in control. As every one on this site says "you need more seat time". I LOVE mine & am really enjoying the challenge of learning how to handle her. Mine is #15. What number is yours & where did you find the boat?

Enjoy you new boat!!!!!!!

Sue

Schaf, I don't know how many were made but I believe I saw someone post the amounts in a thread some time ago. You might be able to find it with a search. Haven't tried myself.
