Wednesday, 5/31/2006
At 10 EDT I've got to watch ESPN2 Wednesday Night Fights. A Knoxville homeboy is slated to fight on the undercard - Big Alonzo "Zo" Butler (6-3, 250#). His record is 22-0-1 with 17 KOs. I saw him fight live - the only heavy weight fight I've seen live. It was damned scary. I saw him knock his opponent out with a body shot:eek:

I’ve seen him fight once as well…as a casual observer, make that very casual observer it doesn’t appear that he or more importantly his career has progressed…your thoughts? I believe he’s still with Ace Miller and the knock on him is that he mismanaged the careers of a couple of good fighters he’s had, IE Bernard Taylor and of course John Tate….

yea - he really hasn't been tested against quality fighters and tonight's opponent is another nobody.

He is still with Ace Miller - never heard any beef on him - he did get John Tate the heavy weight championship for a short while. Then the drugs and alcohol brought Tate down fast.
