Do you have the pistons with the springs inside (aircraft recoil cylinder)??
You can order them from Drew Marine. Or you can order the new EXFM springs, much more tension to keep the flaps closed until higher rpms...Ed

Ed,I think we are going to try to grind the flaps a bit.Seems to be binding a little. The flap is sticking closed.

Back off the crank arm that the spring attachs to. That is usually what causes the binding. Leave about an 1/8 th inch between the arm and the sleeve.......Ed

Bill, Just curious did you notice this before or after your 250 rpm decrease?? Jamie / LakesideNo,not the cause of the 200rpm drop.I can hang over the back and un-stick-it....Today I took the left side off and Iam shipping it back to drew marine monday.I cut my finger when the scewdriver snapped in two:(  :frown: .Lucky just a small cut!:superman:

Ouch... The joys & pains of boat ownership.. The reason I asked was I though at WOT it was causing a exh restriction that could have accoutned for the rpm drop.. Jamie :lobster: :convertib
