My steering wheel has seen better days. Where can I get a replacement? It's the standard black three spoke that used to have the donzi center cap.

If I can't get one, what's a decent replacement unit that will bolt on?

Zimm17,

Matt is correct, Gary is the man when it comes to steering wheels. I found him at a car show in Carlisle Pennsylvania he restored mine this winter and it looks good as than new. He is not fast or cheep but you will like the end result. Let me know if I can help you with any details

Guys, you're thinking too far back in the past! If that's a pic of Zimm's 22 in his avatar, it's a pretty safe bet he's not looking for the classic white rimmed Covico style wheel. Zimm, I'd do an eBay search under "Dino". They made a lot of wheels for boat companies and you might find exactly what you're looking for.

Hey Greg, how's VA Beach treating ya? It's been a few years since I've been up that way. I was looking around for a replacement wheel recently and saved these links. I haven't done too much research yet so I don't have any recommendations but these may give you a starting point.
Later,
Dan

I went to rexmar.com and found momo wheels with UV proof polys instead of leather grips for $40. I think that what's I had to begin with anyway. I got a new hub and centercap for $15. Not the doniz cap I had, but "momo" isn't too bad. I know I'm driving a donzi when I'm steering without needing my hub to say it. It shows up today via 2nd day air, I'll let ya'll know if it fits.

Is it a MOMO ? http://www.shopmomo.com/steeringwheels.html .Fits teleflex hydraulic steering hubs. As far as your foam pad haven't found those any wear . just beauty rings and horn buttons>

Today was the first run with the new wheel. I really like it a lot better. It's thicker than the stock wheel, and easier to hold.

This is zimm17, I'm using my dad's account:

Okay, it's on and fits perfect. The $40 momo is the same as the '88 Donzi wheel. Three spoke with 6 bolt pattern. The replacement hub is the same, but is black plastic insead of the nasy corroded alumimum that was on there before. The new wheel doesn't say "momo" on it, but does say "Made in Italy" on the back side. You can't beat it for the money. The center cap is plain black plastic though, I'll have to be on the lookout for something a bit more snazzy.
