real fast!

assuming an 8% slip and that 675 HP will spin a 30" prop to at least 5200 RPM - I'd say 90MPH

helmet heck - you also need a lifeline jacket with a leg harness

hope you have good steering and good experience...

The largest Mirage prop made is a 29 AND they are all 3 blade props.

if it's a 1.5 ratio drive it's gonna need A LOT more than 30 inches of pitch

Why? Even at 5000 rpms you'll be running 85+. At 5200-5300 you'll be at 90.

My guess is 88.3 mph. :D

I read Dart intake, but I didn't read supercharger, turbo or nitrous. So how is Dean getting 675 hp even if its a 502? Its still a Straight Vee 22 with a Bravo.
82-84 mph. If that. I need to read something more radical to think those numbers could be higher. After the boat is dialed in, then maybe 88.

675hp is 675hp no matter how you get it. I agree with Rootsy if the power is there you looking at at least high 80s, maybe low 90s, once it's dialed in with the right prop.

FJ...... look at roadtripse and Doc.... has seen close to 82 with an HP500.....

Catch22 is over 90 and I blieve that is his HP range give or take.......

Chrome we are on the same page in a way. I don't buy the 675hp and if its a 502, 530 hp is closer to what Dean has described. Where did the extra 145 hp come from if its not running boost? Elves? I am using Doc's and Todd's boats and contrasting those also with Big Griz's - which is about as tweaked out as you can take a 502 and still run gas all day.

Maybe I'm not understanding the question.

If you just want to pick a HP out of the air, then yes, we can speculate. 675 is 675 and puts the boat in the high 80's low ninties by straight calc and prop slip.

But thats like fantasy football.

82-84. Reported on his first run,....is my guess.
Has Dean gone in hiding cause you guys set the bar too high?
Three posts, ALL CAPS. 675 HP, 30 INCH PROP, DART INTAKE. 22 CLASSIC, BRAVO.

Not much to go on..........

FJ, I'd say that's what he wanted to know, how fast would it be WITH 675 hp. I don't think he was looking to have his engine "keyboard dyno'd".

FJ... I see where your coming from...... but.... if motor is a true 675HP..... it's 90 mph IMO......

FJ - I have to admit it is an odd post with limited info. But, he did ask how fast a 22 would go with 675 hp.

675 hp isn't the norm out of a NA 502 but definitely possible. However usually at higher rpm which would put the prop more like a 27-28 pitch.

But like Cuda said he didn't ask for us to guess his hp.

8% if it is labbed .... I am still trying to figure out the negative slip percentages !

675HP...... I have about a 100hp less (give or take) then that running a 31 q4 labbed at 5200-5300 at 90. 675hp, There's plenty of hp here to be well into the 90's. But there's still alot of if's here.
