OK, this could qualify as one of the dumbest questions asked but here goes....does anyone have tips for removing the stock cup holders from a ZX? I purchased some nice powdercoated cup holders from Livorsi but the originals seem to be glued in place and are in there solid. I'm now sure how to remove them without breaking them or cracking the gel. Has anyone ever done this. Seems like a simple upgrade but I don't know if I need to heat up the adhesive or what. Anyone have any ideas? You can see a picture in my first post in the thread below.

Their probably glued in,,i would try to uarm them up with a heat gun to make the glue tacky and then try to remove them....or mabe take a dremal and cut the olds ones out piece by piece...

Yeah, I think heating might be the way to go. I didn't think replacing these would be such a pain!

Mine just pop right out. I take them out all the time and shove a beach umbrella down in the hole and bungee to the grab handle for shade.

What does the new bling look like and how much were they? I wouldn't mind pimping things up a bit.

Hey Unc,
I bought mine when the boat was in storage and thought mine would pop right out too. Nothing is easy! They look really nice and were I think $20 each. Here's a link to Eddie Marine where I bought them. I think they'll look sweet when I finally get them installed. I also read that the Livorsi 4" gauge bezels will fit the cup holders too for the ultra bling look. As soon as I get them installed I'll post some pics.
