A Couple I Know Built A Boat Storage ( Winter ) 50 X 100 Wood Barn Type . I Was At A Zoning Board Meeting And A Member Of The Board Said They Can Only Be Approved By Removing The Battery And Gas From Boats For Inside Storage . I Can See Removing Battery + Out Boards 6 Gallon Tanks , But I've Never Heard Of Draining Out In Hull Tanks . Seems Like The Vapors Would Be More Dangerous Than Stored Stabilized Gas ? Curious To Hear Opinion From Mop And Others . Also This In In N.y.

That sounds like a "CROCK" my old shop has 275 HD boats that many keep the batteries in and just about all kept the tank full during the storage period to avoid condensation. My new digs have about 40 HD same thing, We are one of the larger indoor storage sites for big boats non of which de fuel and this yard does not pull the batteries just hooks them to power every few weeks to keep them up. There are a lot of HD & in door for big boat setups I do not know of one with that type of restriction. I am sure there is nothing as far as New York regs.
