View Full Version : Which Bennett Tabs on an 18?

I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on Tabs for my 18 (this is to allow some attitude adjustment on my no trim Volvo 18, and to tame the low speed porpoise).

I've got it narrowed down to 3 Bennett sets, all with the Rocker Switch.
12x9 Edgemount
M80 (10x8 "Batwing design") - $10 More
ST9 Sport Tabs - $50 More

I'm not trying to be a cheap bastard...but is there a compelling reason to spend the extra $$$?

Thanks,
EG

12X9 will do the job just fine.

Bennett tabs are good but i perfer trim master because their tabs won't fall apart if you brake a ram.....bennett lock together and if the ram brakes the tap can slide out from the side and be lost in the water....Trim master are hinged with a pin and wont come apart....Also if your running above 60 mph with the taps down get the dual cylinder tabs..

Eric, I have a set of ST-9's, NEW, never bolted on, but just the tabs and transom hardware part. No rams, or electrics/hydraulics etc.

Interested ?

Thanks for the input everyone. Lenny, I think I'll stick with the kit, only because I know how much of a pain it'll be trying to piece everything together...
