I have two batteries with a 2 battery selector switch and am trying to figure out if everything is wired properly.

They (whoever added the 2nd battery) wired all the misc items (radio/bilge/etc) off of the switch lead that goes to the starter. Is this correct? Shouldn't some things like the bilge pump be right on one of the battery posts so that they are always powered?

Scott is on the money your bilge pump auto function wires should always be direct to the battery, I have two auto pumps one wired to each of my two batteries, never to safe and don't want to be sorry.

The starter lead is connected directly to the battery.
I have my builge pump set up stock , fused and rockered to the dash panel. But I don't leave mine floating unattended. The starter should work from either battery not just one. Therefore all your stuff will too. NO YES MAYBE?????
