The manual says to use AC Platinum plugs (AC 41-932). I've been led to believe (mostly by the GM F-body gang) that the platinums are problematic (losing the discs primarily).

I am running AC MR43T in my 454. Do these work for the small block, too? Or is there a more preferred plug?

Thanks in advance.

Is it possible that like the automotive industry the computer is programed for the plugs, I have been told Chrysler corp must have their wire and plugs. Bears some checking into.

If in fact you have the Vortec heads, the plug of choice is AC-MR43LTS. They are the projected nose plugs. With a thunderbolt ignition, the plugs are gapped at .045.

If in fact you have the Vortec heads

2003 5.0 mpi serial # 0M368109.

BTW, the book recommends the gap for the aformentioned platinum plugs (AC 41-932) to be .060.

Thanks for your input.
