Where do battery isolators typically get mounted? I just got one for my 97 22ZX. Probably up fromt of the engine compartment right behind the bench seat?

They are fine mounted just about anywhere convenient, the only consideration would be wire routing. On some I have taken the feed wire off at thr starter, cut the wrap back to have enough slack to connect to the isolator then ran the wires to the batteries. if you run more then 4-5 feet to the batteries go up a size on the wire, should be #10 on there now i would go to #8. If you solder the ends do not use "ACID" core, use rosin core solder.

I put mine right next to the work light in the compartment- right behind the benchseat.
