It will cost me $50 to transfer the 5 year hull warranty into my name for my '03 16' Classic. Since it was built in the summer of '02, I'll be getting just 2 more years of coverage ('til August '07).

Would you spend the money on the transfer or not? Please vote.

Do it, for $50.00 it's well worth it.

is this for a 5 year warranty from this day on or the remaining years left on a 5 year warranty from 2003??? that makes a difference in the equation??
figure 25 bux a year for 2.5 years of hull insurance??
Think it is up to you how to you use your boat balls to the wall rough water riden hard put a way wet or more moderately are there any signs of stress on the hull??
I thought i had an answer til you threw beer into the equation ;)

5 years from August 2002. It lives a pretty pampered life and shows no sign of any stress EXCEPT some cracks in the rear seat storage well (prolly not even considered the hull for warranty purposes).

Yes, the beer variable really makes it difficult. :smileybo:

$50, do it. You'll never need it but for $50 why not. If $500 then must think it over.

Is this a joke? Almost 2 full seasons of coverage for a measly $50? IMO you'd be an idiot not to! It's $50!

I never buy warranties, you KNOW they will find a way NOT to cover any claim you have, but then again, 50 bucks ain't much, probably not nearly as much as you will have to pay a lawyer to make them honor the warranty.

I'm the same way when I go buy a refridgerator, tv, washing machine, etc. I tell them I didn't come here to buy a warranty, and if I didn't think it was going to last two years, or whatever the warranty covers, I wouldn't buy it. They obviously know it will last that long, or they wouldn't be selling warranties.

Being one who has cracked several boats, the fifty is a no brainer. Do it.
I wish I had had that on mine, all the stingers are broken. And its now unsafe to run it the way I like to.
