Has anyone heard of a 510 CI mercruiser inboard?

As I have posted here I am in the market for a new boat and am now narrowing it down to a couple totally different boats a 22 blackhawk, a new 26 ZX from Frank and a couple like this

http://cgi.ebay.ca/27-Fountain-Fever-1991-Showroom-Condition_W0QQitemZ4627595359QQcategoryZ31271QQrdZ 1QQcmdZViewItem

I the main reason I am looking at this compared to a 22 blackhawk is that its close and has sleeping downstairs ( which is something that might be nice)but am a little concerned with the motor and age etc :wrench: ..

any info would be great

Friends don't let friends buy beak boats or bajas!

That motor is NOT a stock Mercruiser offering. It looks like the guy spent some $$$ on the engine, but you need to have a total survey done (including oil analysis) to get the true health of the motor & boat.

If you loose your mind and get the beak boat:shocking: :fire: :smash: ..
plan on spending around $5,000 on an intercooler,or you will be rebuiling evey year. It's not my money, but,I would prefer the 26' and Frank is a super guy to deal with...........Ed

I am leaning heavy that way

I don';t want to be kicked off the board
:)

besides the Wellers Bay Donzi Club would look kind of dumb with no Donzis

A 510 is really a 509 which is a 502 bored to 4.50" from 4.467" with the same stock 4.00" stroke. If stroked to 4.25" as well then you have the classic 540.
