My front row seat at Shea was OK yesterday :cistineb: I got a close up of the gift the ump gave the Mets at home plate.

I go to every Saturday Met home game, so if anyone takes one in, let me know, and we'll hook up.

Of course I'm a met fan. I was born in 1969....

And being a Met fan, it is my duty to loathe the Yankees....sorry CG :p

We lived about 20 minutes or so from Shea growing up..so my dad who was a HUGE Mets fan always took me to the games when they played at home..

Chrome I am a Yankee fan but not a met hater I ain't crazy bout them sox tho ;)
but after opening day baseball is something I am not into until the dog days of summer come ( except for the oldest rivalry :yes: ) I'll catch a game here and there , well now march madness is over, onto the hockey playoffs, the boat ,the masters and us open then in july baseball is king
I miss being able to hop on the "el" and skip out on school to see the mets or Yankees play Don't think the MTA had free transportation to and from home games in mind when they handed out our bus passes ;)
yes children of today they actually played in the sun on grass and seats were 3.50 a piece

Since Detoit will have the better record they will be matched up with the wild card and the Yankees will face the winner from the west. Seeing as Chicago will win the wild card, Detoit will play Chicago first in the playoffs...... which doesn't look to rosey for the kittens...... Chicago has completely dominated Detroit this year...... 9-3..........

Wow....Really hadn't been following the play-off scene. Just read where the Detroit Tigers took out the NY Yankees 3 to 1. I'm impressed as I can rember going up to Detroit when they were still playing in the old stadium and you could buy a ticket to just about any seat in the stadium.

Joe Torre leads the Yanks to 4 World Series wins and with 1 playoff failure, they are ready to oust him? Man are things in NY tuff! What a standard to uphold to.
