You can all put you money away! The old (50) Diesel Dog just got himself his first Donzi. What they say is true. Life does begin at 50 mph that is. Now the fun starts.

The X had a 320hp Chris Craft engine - but the block is cracked, so it's out, I'm looking at a couple of different options for the engine now, but, as I'm waiting on 1) The winning bidder on my Ragazza to pay  , and 2) I've got to get my stringers and gussets worked on, I'm waiting to see what I do for power, I may still remove the 365hp engine from my Ragazza, put it in the X, and replace it with a used engine, or I'll build a 383 stroker for it at about 400hp. The drive is a Volvo 280 drive that I've got taken apart for paint removal, cleaning, and re-paint - replacing some of the bushings / etc before it goes on too.

It's kind of a "work in progress" thing right now.

Once again, best of luck, and enjoy it!!!

Oh yeah, pictures of the X

Congrats Diesel! You're gonna love it! I've had my 16C for 18yrs and when I use it, the smile on my face is as big as the first time. Never been in an 18, but I'm sure it's very similar to the 16 and IMO there is not a boat out there, big or small, that is more fun to drive.
Have you figured out transport yet?
