Yesterday I had to tow my Bronco a good 50 miles with my fathers 2006 King Ranch F-150. Reason for it is I lifted my Bronco a bit:) and had to get an extended driveshaft made (No its not broken its just shaftless......Before anyone makes the Oh look a Ford pulling a Ford comment....((Chrome and company)) :) I have to say I was pretty impressed with the power on this truck. It pulled the Bronco with the extremely heavy triple axle trailer it was sittin on, quite nicely. I am used to a diesel f-250 and at first I really thought the 150 was gonna fall short but it really didnt. I was wondering if any of you guys own a similar truck and have towed with it and how reliable has it been? I may get rid of my CTS and buy one of these.

I have an '04 F-150. No major problems but I only have 22,000 miles on it . So far so good with the only complaint of a clunking noise coming from the differential when accelerating from a dead stop. It was fixed when after taking it to the dealer for the third time they changed the U-joint.
It's very comfortable on long trips and tows beautifully.
It's a bit of a gas hog compared to a friend's Nissan Titan. We convoyed to Savannah towing similar trailers with two race cars of roughly the same weight. He averaged 13-14mpg while I got around 11. It could have something to do with the fact that mine's 4wheel drive and his is not.
To me it seems that the fit and finish on the Ford is better than the other pickups I've seen, including the Titan, but that's just my opinion.
All in all I would probably buy another one.
