Mixing it up!

Does anyone know what years the 280 was shipped as new production? What size transom hole does this model have? Is it the same as the 250? Do you think this model would do well on a '69? Or maybe it would be troublesome and expensive and I should stay with the 250. Oh well, those were the days!

If you mean by "model" the transom candy in the picture, I think it would be just fine. If you are refering to the outdrive, I don't know. :)

When I first got my 18, it had a 280 leg on a 250 shield. The only thing you'll have to do is remember to order 250 parts for the transom shield. Steering yoke bushings,rubber tilt block,tiller arm etc.,if they need replacing. The leg itself goes on the same way with the same parts.
