What a great find, they were a very nice running boat. Most by todays standard will think the power was wimpy, though not fast it has a great ride and handles a sea extremely well.

Wow...looks original, not sure about the spotlight, I had a 69 as a kid, XK-19 Super Sport. Now have a 72 with I/O and having 70 being totally restored (and modified )by Forestport boatworks in New York, they have a web site. Good luck, Jim Wynne hull is awesome, my 69 crossed the Straits of Georgia numerous times and attacked every BC Ferry boat wake I could find, the 327 was a little underpowered but fun, reportedly Alan Jackson bought one of these from Forestport, should that matter. Good luck.

There is a 1970 XK19, hull number 6 in my area. It has a VP I/O, no engine and is very rough. It has been sitting since 1985. We just talked with the owner, he wants $500. I can give more info if you are interested. I fell in love with my Commander because I hate outdrives. I wanted it before I even knew what it was. When I found out exactly what it was, I went and beat on the guys door!!
