I'm looking for the right cam for my 351 windsor block GT-40 heads, for my ski boat-just want to bump it up a little for hole shot to 3200 RPM's,mostly for wake boarding.Motor is a stone stock marine 351 at the present. All input greatly appreciated.

You dont need to mess with the cam,,,,,,try a 4 blade propeller first.....i have some you can try....
Which prop are you running now 13x??

Or try a oj their the best for ski boats...www.ojprops.com

I don't have first hand experience with the Ford, but i can tell you when I put a 270/470 cam in the Donzi's stock 350, I saw a 300-400 rpm increase on the top end. No problems with reversion on that particular engine either. A slightly hot cam with those heads should "wake" things up. (pun intended ;) )

You did say ski boat. Follow Mrfixall advise. A helluva lot cheaper, prop vs cam.

Jim it is less work to do a prop just have to watch your top RPM, a lot of the guys I know have a prop with a couple of inches less pitch just for skiing. Cost for a mild flat tappet cam is actually cheaper then a new prop but more work, in the 16 I had a hatch that I could swap the cam through saved pulling the engine but still like I said more work. I like the cam idea, it gives you all the grunt you need and alittle more on top without having to change props to suite the situation. For what you want I would dump a Fedral Mogul Pro1500, There is a 351 out by me that has been running one for quite awhile with very good results.
