I bought belts and a thermostat at the Donzi dealership yesterday. Wasn't ready for the sticker shock ($49.00 for a belt?):eek!: Is there any reason I shouldn't use regular automotive belts? I don't mind paying more if I need to, but if I don't have to, then I'll be able to give another six pack a good home. Also, time to put the drive back on. Last year I got excellent advice on winterizing. Can I get the same for un-winterizing...uh, summerizing.

you can use the belts from the auto store - no difference if not the same

$49 for a serpantine belt is cheap. The last one I bought for my Vette was around $90.

$49 would be cheap for a serpentine belt, but I've got v-belts.

Heck, I even bought the belt for my procharger from the auto parts store when they sent me the wrong size. They told me that there was no difference.
