I just bought a 91 Donzi Classic 16 & I'm trying to locate the engine model number. Its not on the valve covers, carburator cover or top of the engine block that I can see. anybody know where to look?

I had a 91 16 it had a 302 Ford with a bottom shifter Cobra drive, that is the way they came. Your may be different if upgraded, is the distributer up front or in the back? Front=Ford Back=Chevy.

it's a v-8
If stock it is a 302, it will run about 57. Not a bad little engine real cheap on gas and enough grunt for decent skiing.

I believe it is stock. It's 5.0 liter. Don't know if that relates to 302 c.i.
It more then likely has a two barrel carb, you can sqeeze a little more out of it with a four barrel and transom exhaust. You can also go overboard and get it into the 70-80 mph range, but my advice is run it for awhile and enjoy it is a great little boat. I got three great seasins out of mine then moved up to a 22.
