We took the 22 out to see what it runs on gps. The damn grouper trooper about scared me off. I followed him to Hontoon Island, then when he kept going, I came back for a speed run.

With a 24 three blade Turbo, it ran 57.5@4700 rpm. It ran 48@4000 rpm.

I had a 23 Mirage Plus I wanted to try too, but it wasn't idling right, so we put it back on the trailer. I had a ton of water in the bilge too when we pulled out. I don't know if it was already there, or I have something leaking. I have a feeling it's not a leak, because the water was too clear. The river water is tannin stained.

At least now I have a benchmark to test against when I change stuff.

The speed was with a full tank of gas, and Debbie and me in the boat. Btw, we burned 47 gallons on the Miami trip run. How big is the tank in a 22?

The Turbo 24P is one of my favorite all around use props.
Good mileage & performance on my appl..
Try some tests with it on or near empty with a 1' to 2' foot chop.
The 22C is very weight sensitive. It's like a different boat on E !
The catalog for my 87 22 C reads 50 gal. tank size. So figure approx. 300 lbs plus sitting under there.Picture trying to move a full 55 gal. drum.

Then there's Poodles Trim Tab height modification also.:wrench:

I need a 4 blade nxt..:biggrin.:
