On a modern boat (outboard), what kind of structural damage can be done if completely submerged (1998 is the year), Obviousilly there are all of the electrical problems that would happen, and probable engine problems, but my question is really centered on Structural. What is there to rot.

More details, 1998 Godfrey Deck Boat.

Thanks

Wayne if in salt anything that can corrode will do so so all will need replacement plus a built in fuel tank is a head ache. Usualy the wood parts survive fairly well if let to dry out, salt kind of pickles wood in contrast fresh water is deadly. I have raised a few they all seemed to make it through OK.

I had a Contender sink on me due to a faulty bait well pump.... Insurance replaced everything except the cleats. I suggest you look into the hardware behind the cleats and replace them.
