Friends,
As my engine is apart again I thought I'd make some more changes . .
The H&M 302 now has a power steering pump from a BMW M5 and the original alternator. Each is driven by a separate belt, and the water pump is crank driven. IF I was ever to break a belt, changing them would almost require pulling the engine . . YIKES!
So I've been considering switching to a serpatine belt drive, running one belt and re-arranging everything . . .
I want to retain the H&M front mounting plate , but everything else can change . .
March performance makes some great set ups, but most require a water pump which is not possible with the H&M front plate . .
Thoughts and suggestions please!
