Here's the scoop: supposedly the recommended 'drop' in hose run off of the riser to the transom is 1" drop per 12" run. My installation would require about 2" of drop to meet that spec.
The Mercruiser power steering actuator gets in the way of this geometry. To keep the exhaust hose off of the actuator, the run gets flattened to about 1.25" or so.
Have a new pair of Stainless Marine tips with counter-weighted internal flappers and external Salsburys.
Anybody see a problem with potential for water ingestion, inversion, etc. with this installation (just the stock cam at this time).
