Here's the scoop: supposedly the recommended 'drop' in hose run off of the riser to the transom is 1" drop per 12" run. My installation would require about 2" of drop to meet that spec.
The Mercruiser power steering actuator gets in the way of this geometry. To keep the exhaust hose off of the actuator, the run gets flattened to about 1.25" or so.
Have a new pair of Stainless Marine tips with counter-weighted internal flappers and external Salsburys.

Anybody see a problem with potential for water ingestion, inversion, etc. with this installation (just the stock cam at this time).

WOT are they center riser manifolds? and are they merc manifolds? It sounds like your trying to install a set of inboard manifolds or after marcket manifolds that have too much of a down angle...

Got pic's??

I have ran across in the past with the kodiak systems wont work on merc's
or you have to use some sort of s pipe on them..

you may have to install a taller riser or riser spacers...

It's all stock Mercruiser... center risers, 7-degree angle.
Looking at pics on the Registry, this seems to be a fairly common install...even if the 'math' isn't spot on, as long as water doesn't climb up to the engine, it should go together fine.

Will get some pics uploaded one of these days.
