It has a 1992 Merc that looks emaculate, and runs fantastic. It has a 2002 aluminum trailer. Load of fun, just gas and go!

Joe,

You know, when I saw this boat at Lake Harris, I didn't ask you how old it was, I JUST saw the year, 1970, 36 years old, and looks new!! Nice boat!

They finished beefing up the transom. I couldn't be more please with the glass work. It looks better than new.

Oops, sorry, I thought I posted that above. It's a 1993 90 horse, I typed 92 above. I haven't played with it enough to find out myself how fast it will go. The previous owner told me set up in the most radical position, he saw 68 gps. He said it was more than a handful set up like that. He lowered the engine and said it will run 55 now, with no chine walking. He had the bottom blueprinted. It has gaffrig gauges, and a Cd/Fm radio. It does not have a built in fuel tank, so the fuel guage is just there for looks.

I told the guy at the Boat Hospital that someone with a 33 Donzi was thinking about this boat. I told him I understand why. Sometimes if you just want to go for a short jaunt in a boat, it's too much damn work to launch and retrieve a 33 footer. I feel the same about my 302. That's one of the reasons I bought this boat. I can hook up with Deb's little truck, launch it myself, retrieve it, then put it away. I can pick up the tongue of the trailer and push it wherever I want in the yard.

Btw, 55 in that boat will seem like 95 in yours. Once I had Debbie holding the gps while I was driving. I asked how fast, she said 42, I said bull****, it must be 72! It's fun as hell. :)

This is the most dependable boat Joe and Debbie owns.
It's a good buy. I've run with them twice and there's nothing to be seen but ear to ear grins!!:rlol:

Cuda - Nice boat. 150 rated??!!!:eek!: I have a 1974 Baja v14 w/90hp merc. I blew up the 85 I had on it. You are right about just wanting a small boat to splash and go. Mine has fixed trim tabs which hold the boat back a bit. I have to drop one tab to level it out with one person in it. My wife refuses. 25p std prop 5400 rpm 55 mph. A little chine walk at times - just enough to keep your hands on the wheel. Wheeeeee.

I've been trying to convince my wife how much we need this boat...... BUT, she seems to think we need a new roof, kitchen, or patio on the rear of the house much more than another boat soooooo....... I'm still workin on her..!!:shades: :shades:

I brought it home this weekend, I thought I might take it up to Mt Dora, but it was too cold and windy. I took some more pictures of it today. I'm debating on whether to put it on Ebay, or Boat Trader.

I have loved that boat since I saw the first post on it. I wish I had a good enough reason to buy her (need more seats) ....darn it.
