View Full Version : Trailer swap
We swapped trailers from the Minx to the 22 in preparation of the salt water in Miami.
First stop was Burger King to feed my pie hole. :)
I moved the bunks out 3 inches on each side. I didn't move the jackstand the first pull out of the water, and I know if I'd have taken the ball loose, the boat would have pulled a wheelie. We backed it in, and moved the jackstand forward 23 inches. The boat was now on the bunks all the way, but the bowstop was in the wrong spot, so we took the u bolts loose and moved it up. I think it's fitting now even better than I though it would.
If I could have gotten the Minx all the way up to the bowstop, I'd damn near have a drive guard. :)
I may swap them back after Miami.
We tried a 23 cleaver prop today. It didn't porpoise at low speed like the Turbo did, but I don't know if it was from the prop, or the fact we had 200 pounds less weight in the back seat. It ran about the same rpm, but I think I felt a vibration with it. I think we'll put the 24 Turbo back on for Miami, and bring the cleaver too.
Here's a video of the engine running.
