Regarding seat placement: typically how close to the side coamings are the front bucket seats?
Judging by my former LH steering location, they were mounted somewhat inboard. As I reconfigure, I'm considering moving seats a couple of inches outboard. This would create more space in the center section between seats. (80+ lb dog 'passage') It's new decking with no 'riser blocks' so repositioning is not a problem.
There would be a slight change in 'arm' for CG purposes, but I've got large Lenco tabs, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Limiting factor: ability to rotate the seats 180-degrees to the aft-facing position. I believe ( on-the-road, so don't know for sure) that with the seats slid full-aft they can be rotated inboard and have side clearance to make the 180 turn.
Gotta get the seats set before the steering can get cut-in as it migrates to RH drive.
Anybody see any prolems with a few inches of 'outboard move' for seats and steering??
