lOOKS LIKE THE REAR DIFF/CLUTCHES/REAR-END TRANSFER CASE.anyway its a 2003 XLT ford expedtition that I got to tow my boat.I guess it is a good thing to find out now, before boating season.I got it a week before the new orleans hurricane when fuel prices were a little lower.I also paid for a warrenty with guardian. So I have a $50 dollar deductable.Anyone else have this trouble?

Have no idea if this relates but a friend had a no shift problem with the transfer case that turned out to be the electric switch that controls it.

Well, today is saturday and Iam home/not at the A.C. boat show :splat: because the guy/dealer that sold me the ford+guardain warrenty did not go and get the insurance aproved till friday.Ford would not order the parts till friday and they will not arrive till tuesday. The story never ends!
