The North originally won the battle........
The South ultimately won the WAR!!!:jestera:

After all, look where you're living and working.

59%.......but then I'm from the south West, it really wasn't designed for that region.

My score:

60% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category.

Dad was a civil engineer so I've moved around alot including a few southern states like TX, NC, & SC. Sayings like "So, YAll going with?" come from that mixture of North East and South.

Now, now, boys...

Here's a few interesting facts, probably you've heard them already:

* More soldiers died of disease and infection than in battle.
* The casualities of all our country's wars combined do not equal the men lost in the Civil War.
* More Vietnam veterans came home and committed suicide than the number we lost in battle. (oops, wrong war...but still a pretty strong statistic)

Good book: The March by E.L. Doctorow, detailing Sherman's march thru Georgia and the Carolinas. At one time his army numbered 60,000 men, while 25,000 freed slaves trailed behind them. That's a helluva lot of people!

I'm one of the few Yankees that drinks sweet tea and loves it. If you don't know what sweet tea is, drive another 500 miles south and order it.
