Anyone one had any experience with this prop? I am thinking of trying on my C18 (350mag) instead of current Mirage plus.

thx.Jeff

I tried it a couple years back at one of the AOTH gatherings. Great hole shot if you need and or like that sort of thing. Top end was slower than the prop I was running but the thing I rememer the most it had very little bow lift.
You should think about trying a basic 3 blade Turbo . Several Donzi owners have tried it including myself with good results. Just a quick question for you, what are your goals in trying / switching props.

My current 23P M+ spins the engine a tad too fast, so was going to move up to a 25P but also considering alternatives to the mirage.

stability and top end would be the end goal.

its a Mirage Plus and I am turning about 4900-5000 (on stock tach). I have had the alarm go off once from high RPM. I would like to bring it down to a saf(er) level.

if you can , try a laser2 ... great prop for the smaller classics .

Yep, similar characteristics to the M+ but with more rpms. Great bow lift!

 I'm running a 24" Turbo 2+2 on my 18 with a 350 Mag Carb. I can pull 4,900 RPM with the Turbo and 5,050-5,100 with a 23" QSS 3-blade.

I wanted a prop that made the hull more stabile in the bumps like the Hydro Q-IV. I tried all of Turbo's 4 blade offerings at AOTH IV on a choppy day and liked the performance of the 2+2 the best, it also turned the biggest number on top of the other 4 blade Turbos. My top speed is 64.2 GPS with the 23" QSS and 61.4 GPS with the 2+2. It doesn't have as much bow lift as some of the other props out there and you do lose a few MPH on the top from some of the bettwr 3 blades but it settles the hull in the chop and I couldn't pass up the deal they gave me on it.
