Ratman;
Jason is my son..We both keep our boats in my barn.
The boat your asking about is my 18 with the 377 Scorpion Engine, year 2002.
It got into the picture a little.
Thanks for your remark about the boat. We both strive to keep them clean.

Hi MOP;

All is well here..Hope the same for you.
Jason has ,or is, swapping Donzi's.
Have you ever bought something on a whim, total spur-of-the-moment?
We went to the Key's the 1st week of Jan with our 13 Whaler and came back with a ZX23.
So..the 18 in the above pics is going as we have my Scorp and our 2 Ski Sporter's,STILL under construction.
The 18 is a marvelous rig with meticulous maintenance to any interested parties.
We'll get pics out of the ZX..We are putting twins on it,and a better trailer.

Hi Jason,
Great looking boat. I live in the Seattle area of Wa. Do you have anyone who could deliver the boat to me. Could use your help in this matter.
Thanks,
Ron

Sorry Buzilla;

Yeah,I misscalled the model.. We got it at the Key Largo Boating Center, on the left as you go South..He's a Donzi-Pro-Line Dealer.

I'm kinda scared to take our next vacation..

Who knows what we'll come home with??

Poodle;
We went down with the idea of fishing the flats on the Gulf side, anchoring, exploring, etc.
The wind blew out of the NW the whole time, so it was okay close-to-shore on the Atlantic Side. Reality set in pretty quick,as we couldn't really get anywhere in any kind of comfort in a 13-footer,so we traded it in on the Center Console. It sits for the moment at The Key Largo Boating Center.

The scopion must be an awesome boat. Can you tell me what brand trailer is under the boat that you sold? Thanks

Bill L.
Thanks for the "Scorpion Kudos" It's a really neat rig;A bit stern-heavy with the Bravo Drive,dual Batteries, etc. The engine and accompanying steering,accessories, etc. are top-notch. At all speed ranges the Scorp. engine is smooth as you could imagine.Why they discontinued it I'll never know.
With the Scorpion gone, it puts my boat in an interesting place..I've checked with Josh at Donzi,(VP of something-or-other)and he tells me that there are only 4 out there,including mine, Kraven's in Lake St. Clair,one in Canada, and one that's escaped somehow.
Anyway, on to your trailer question..Jason's red trailer under the 18 he sold was an "Elite." They were made in Upper Sandusky, Ohio(Actually BELOW the Lake Erie town of Sandusky) Along with the Scorpion Engine, they too are discontinued,I was told. Maybe they were bought out or something..
In any case, the trailer was great,no lites blowing out, no grease leaks,no blown tires,or any of the crap that plagues trailer boaters. The trailer was oversized for the 18, and that launched me into a personal quest to ALWAYS OVERSIZE my trailers in the future, which both Jason and I have done, with no regrets.
Got long-winded..Hope this helps.
