I am new to the Donzi world. Just purchased a 06 22 Classic with 496 HO. Is the standard factory 3 bladed prop the best? If not, any suggestions. Any help will be appreciated!

I presume it came with a 25" Mirage Plus. People here like the Turbo 1 3 blade 25" and I have seen some recommend the Bravo 1 4 blade labbed 26". The Mirage Plus 23"(on the 496Mag/454Mag) and 25"(on the HO/502Mag) are the most popular though. You should have good luck with any of these. I am very much looking forward to Mercs new line of alloy props.

The 25 Mirage Plus is what ChromeGorilla is running on his 22 with the same power. His is as fast as any stock one's I've seen. He has touched 77 with a light load.

I got a 25" Ballistic prop for $204.99 from iboats.com. I haven't tried it yet, any one here tried one. My boat is a 22c 502/470 with OMC King Cobra drive. I have been running 23" 4 blade Hydromotive. This will be the first 3 blade I've tried.

In a straight blast their ok in the turns they blow out your better off with a mach 4 blade prop with the king cobra if you can find them.

I have a 2004 22 with the 496HO, Chromes boat is fast, mine ran about 71 WOT with the Mirage stock prop, but had some stability issues, down right scary. I put a hydromotive Quad 4 by 24 prop one her. Totally new boat, porposing went away with only some minor engine trim, mid range accleration is awesome, Top Speed, full full and my big A$$, 72.6mph gps at 5050Rpm.
I have heard the Turbo props were great on the boat, had one on my 16, was great on that boat. The TXP would not work on my rig, but some others have them and have good results with them. Serach the threads, there was a long one back this summer.
Good luck with your boat, what color is it. Mine is the only color, RED!!!!:rlol: :rlol: :rlol: :rlol: :rlol:

Tap I am running a 22 with a worked SB, Thanks to Big Griz's recommendation I switched to a Turbo I gained about 4 mph mid range and a couple 1/10th's top end switching from a 3 blade cleaver to a 4 blade Turbo Ultima. Handling was greatly improved over the other 3 wheels I tried, especially the cleaver which made the boat handle like :toiletpap The Turbo gets my vote hands down!

My '05 22C runs consistant 73 mph w/the stock 25 mirage plus. Sorry, I don't know what that is in KPM! Pics, please. I think we'd all like to see them.
