If anyone is looking for a good prop to try on a fast 18(or maybe even a 16) I have a 13.75 x 25 pitch Quicksilver Lightspeed(same as a Laser II)

The prop provided great bow lift and good acceleration. I liked it better than the M+ and the Turbo 1 I tried. If anyone is interested I have it for sale in the "Parts for Sale section". My plan was to have it labbed over the winter but I sold the boat with the original prop.

I have an 18 Classic with a 350 MAG Alpha and stock Mirage plus 48-13704 23P which I believe is 14-5/8. I turn 5000 RPMs indicated at WOT. So your prop is smaller in diameter but more aggressive pitch. How might it compare to what I currently run? Will it over-rev (I’m right at the limit now)? Acceleration is fine for me, but I’d like to get a few more MPH (wouldn’t we all) – would a prop like this help?

Actually you will lose rpm going to this prop from a M+ 23. However, not as much as going to a 25 M+ because of the smaller diameter. I tried the prop because a 23 was a little too small and a 25 a little to big. This prop was about 250-300 rpm lower than a 23 M+ and about 100-150 rpm higher than a 25 M+.

My plan was to get it labbed over the winter to pick up 200 rpm and hopefully a couple mph, but I sold the boat a couple weeks ago,
