The 22 Shelby GT, Carol Shelby gave them there Authority and Licensing for this to happen.
Two Great American Icons Donzi Marine and Carol Shelby together! I will have one at the NY Boat Show and Atlantic City.:biggrin:

I still think Donzi needs a "SS" (Steve Simon) model. The "SS" name would have been better with the Merc./GM motor.

They could get creative and have a GT350 for the chevy small block version and a GT502 for the big block version!! I have an 07 Shelby Mustang on order. I have to imagine the mustang and the boat are pretty close in price.

96Donzi you lucky dog, a 97 Shelby on order, instant classic, yea baby. My wife and I were seriously looking at a black Mustang GT with the red interior and the retro aluminum ribbed dash trim, to replace our Jeep Liberty. This car had a kick ass exhaust note and the optional black Cragers on it. I would have also lost the rear boy racer wing, the car is just so good looking, why bother. As I recall it did not have the lower door strips, so the all black color theme looked really great. My dad was a Ford guy and a black 289 Interceptor powered, 59 3 on the tree equipped Ford Galaxy 500 was my family’s firsted new car. The dash reminded me of the 500's ribbed aluminum dash as soon as I drove it.

We ended up taking the practical way out, purchasing a Value Edition 06 VW Jetta with the new Lamborghini designed chain driven 20-valve twin cam head build by Yamaha. Now I realize that a 2.5-liter VW is humble by comparison, but this thing equipped with the six speed Tiptronic is rev limited at a 130 mph and has a 160 mph speedo. I have personally had it up to 100 mph and did not even realize it, my wife was not happy with me. Since the speedo is calibrated in even numbers, I tend to cruise it at 80 mph when I make the 200 mile tripe to Great Sacandaga and it manages 35 mph. All it it needs is a more aggressive exhaust and 17 inch wheels and it would be preety tough to beat this practical econo road wariror for 19 grand with the Tiptronic. Between my 22 and a 4.7-liter Toyota 4Runner, I use to tow it, we had to find better fuel economy some place.

The shelby mustang will be a little cheaper, And yes the boat is on its way to NY now. The trailer is back at Typhoon.
