Anybody looking for a great wave smasher that you can overnight in?

Selling with or with out power.

I am the second owner. Boat has under 300 hours since brand new.

This boat is in great shape.

Spent the last 6 years restoring it. The reason for selling is that I have two and want to restore the second one now.

$22,000 with a single engine Mercury outboard and galvanized trailer.

$14,500 with galvanized trailer but no engine.

Here are my two boats. The white one is the one I am selling. It has been babied and never raced.

Here are some more pic's.

I installed the V8 Johnson in June of this year. Boat went 67mph, but engine was not reliable. After only using the boat 7 times this summer, I removed the giant outboard.

They are cool looking outboards, but I don't recommend them unless you are a mechanic.

Still have the original stock 200hp Mercury that came with the boat new. If someone wants it with the engine, that is what will come with it.

Here are some Banana Boat speeds:

55mph with single 200.

65mph with single 300.

75mph with twin 200's.

75mph with single 454.

100mph with twin built 454's

Hull could be converted to an I/O.

Hello Ratman,

I agree that they are great boats. Charlie is a great guy. I hope to race with his son in my Green Banana soon.

Thanks for the input on the price. I was never out to rip anybody off, just trying to find a good starting point.

I was offered 10,000 already with out the engine. Was hoping to get a bit more since I wasn't in a rush and I have put so much into it, that is where the 14,500 comes from.

The 22,000 is because that is what the last two Banana Boats that I know of in New England where asking and they both sold for around $18,000.

Both prices are very negotiable so if somebody was interested, just let me know.

airdog, rob is referring to the teak floor in an 18 ft donzi my family had when i was a kid, i started a thread to see if someone knew where that boat was today, no luck. charlie has the 24ft mold and the 28 and 35ft cig mistress and ss mold, he's gonna start build these fine bpats again with modern layups. ratman

I just took some pics of the Cabin today. Beautiful teak wood accents. I will post in the morning.

As for the Chairs, if you mean the Bolsters, they were had made using no wood, by the Pantera factory interior shop in Miami. Each one costs around $1500 and yes they are in mint condition as is all the interior vinyl and foam. It has all been replaced inside and out.

Beautiful boat. Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between the banana and the pantera 24? They appear to be the same hull and simmilar decks. Are there any major differences in structure or materials? Just curious. Thanks.

The big difference is that the Pantera hull has a 7' Beam and the cockpit goes all the way to the rubrail. Also the hull itself is a bit lower profile. The Pantera hull is the same as the superboat, Jaws, P&D, BRT, Python and a many others I am sure.

As far as I know, the 24' Banana and the 24' Cigarette are unique as they have an 8' Beam and there is a small walk around deck which goes the full length of the boat. You can only fit one foot on it, but it actually comes in handy.

The hull is the same on the Banana and the Cig as they came out of the same mold, but the Banana and Cig have different decks. Although both flat decks, the Banana boat was changed to look exactly like the 38' Cigarette with a V shaped Fairing in 1976.

For this reason, the Banana has more of a cabin (easier access) than the Cig.

Here are some pics I took for an interested buyer the other day.

Here are two more.

The 8' Beam is really noticable when your standing in the cockpit. On a 7' Beam you almost have to turn sideways to go between the bolsters. Also, an 8' beam is more controllable at high speeds.

Not ripping on 7' beam boats, just pointing out differences...

Spend over $5000 on replacing every piece of foam and vinyl. They are dirty in the pics from winter storage, but all of it is mint condition.

The bolsters were hand made in Miami by Pantera's interior guy. No wood construction so they will never rot.
