Is anyone here familiar with this boat, or has anyone inspected it?

This would be a perfect replacementfor my Chapparal . . and a great match for the Corsican . . .

It's been for sale for a while now. I remember the add as the interior had been redone. $12K is a very low price for this boat. An average condition boat/motor/trailer in the blue books is around 18K.

If you want to see a red/white black widow boat in action click here. http://www.joelek.com/pages/11/index.htm This one is freshwater boat it's whole life and hase gone thru the process of being restored into very nice condition. There is also a 6 minute video of the boat in action a few months ago.

I have seen it in person, but have not inspected it.
It does look clean, I know it has been for sale for a LONG time.

I've seen the boat on Ebay several times, so I agree it's been a L O N G time. I suspect the seller only put it on Ebay after other methods of selling it were fruitless.
Possibly I need to find a very good surveyor in the Sarasota area.

I emailed the guy about a year ago and asked condition of gel/paint. My fuzzy memory tells me that it needed to be wet sanded, buffed, etc. I bought my black widow dirty, faded, etc. and shined her all up. Buying ugly is the way to go. Bottom line is have this boat surveyed and go from there. With all the work already done to it, this one could be a nice deal. Times are tough and the price on things are realy coming down.
