View Full Version : Blackhawk drive steering question.....
I am looking for a way to connect a hydraulic steering ram to a Blackhawk drive.
Who has done it? Is there a wingplate or a piece made by a company to do this?
Anyone have any pictures they could post?
Thanks,
Ted

Ted, WPM made mine. I sold the boat so I can't take a good close up for you but here is a pic of the transom. If I remember right they said they just modified a Bravo wingplate.

Ted...
Try to find some transom pix of a Scarab P-29. They had a factory hydraulic system for the BH that attached to the same bolt as the trim cylinders. It was a simple upside down U shaped bracket.

who remain "ram-less" due to the wing plate find and fit issues.
You guys should hook up and do a group purchase.
Miller? Gerometta? Time to tame the beast?
My notes show that Bill worked directly with Brett Mayfair on his stuff.
Have fun.

is someone making a 28zx with blackhawks ????
No,
its a cool idea, but the X dim is too high on the 28ZX for it.
It does not even work with Imco 2" shorties.
It is for another project.
