What are the differences if any? Aer parts available for the Borg Warner? I noticed that they have an adaptor for the drive that allows one to run a 28 spline prop or an outboard clever. Any idea what that adaptor cost?
What is the market price on a complete set up worth? Is ebay the best place to look for used ones?
Thanks!

The 1721 is an earlier design, this was designed by Arneson and manufactured by Borg-Warner.
The ASD-6 is also designed by Arneson but manufactured by Twin Disc.
It's the new design of the 1721. I belive the outside mounting demensions are the same. The internals may have a few parts that interchange but not all of them.
I'm not sure how much the adaptor costs, I do have the mercury pn for the prop it will fit.
I found mine from a guy on the board but it needs a complete rebuild
and does not have the hydraulic cylinders with it.
If you do find one, make sure the cylinders are with it and find the condition of the internals. Patrs are expensive!
If you want the best info E-mail Arneson. Rik will have your answers.
