well well well: I was looking at the other boats for sale"TABOO". There are some 20'cigarrets for sale @ $30.000 +++. These boats were made in the 70's. So why is it our Donzi's are worth so much less. Is a Cig concidered to be a better boat?" Is it made by Christ Craft"? Then the magnums are up there too?
Well personally as a kid I've seen every one of these boats every summer growing up in Cape Cod. It was the Donzi that caught my attention .That passion burned my whole life .Until I finally bought my Minx and the passion now is stronger than ever.

So why does a Cig have more value?????????????????????????????????

There are a whole lot more 20 cigs going for a whole lot less. Most are between 10 and 15 grand, some even less. Keep in mind, they made some later model Cigs, I think as late as 95 they made a 20 footer.

And for better or worse, Cig IS the gold standard in performance boating.

Donzi has made a lot of boats that would make a Bayliner look good, companies that stay true to their designs and do not pimp out their name to make a buck always hold their value better. Donzi has stayed true with the classic but the others spoil the breed some.

they made the 20 "son of a gun" into 2000 2001 or so with around a 80k price tag then dropped the line
some things to consider as to value

Brand recognition

true Aronow lineage ( the 19-20 cig hull was basically unchanged since 1972 with the exception of deck layouts) the same can not be said for many of our beloved Donzis

and the age old rule if it cost more new it cost more used

this is the smallest cig you can get now they dropped the 20 son of a gun in 2002
