Is there a resource for info on boat, engine, outdrive? A factory service manual or something like that? Where can I get one? Thanks

Call or write the Pissed of Fuzzy one (MadPoodle). save yourself $30 by not getting the best. Get the original Mercruiser manual. I know it's pricey but worth it.

schnook: as far as the boat itself I don't know.but the engine and out drive manuals are published by Seloc."Chilton". They are not that comprehensive but can get you bye. Factory manuals are availble thru most Mercruiser dealers.I'm sure thru OMC too.
You could due a search engine for repair manuals. I boats.com is a good place to start. Hope that helps

I have a Clymers Mercruiser "Stern Drive Shop Manual"..1986-1994: Alpha I, Bravo I, Bravo II, and Bravo III. It's available from West Marine. It's a good start. I have some issues with it, but it's absolutly better than nothing.

There is a guy on ebay selling Mercruiser service manuals on disc (PDF files). I just got two (#23 and #24) and they are nice. Some internal links don't seem to work, but the whole factory service manual is there. They are also much cheaper than hardcopy manuals.

I think you need #16 for your engine and #11 for the sterndrive. Both of these are actually available online at no cost.
