View Full Version : Looking at a new Donzi
I found it in a near by garage in up state CT. The owner has a lot of original photos. The engine is shot. He said the hull needs to be cleaned up a little not sure how the gas tank is? I was thinking of a 250 HPDI or a 300.
Some one make me an offer on my X-18 so the wife won't get made at another boat in the yard.
Very cool GEOO!
I hope you get it!
Old magazine photos from Powerboat Magazine.........too cool.
Is it THAT boat?
OH... you guy are too quick in seeing that it was an 18. I thought I was going to have some fun!! :wavey:
I wish I found it.
What I did get on E-bay was the September 1975 Powerboat Article. I post it .
But I am working on getting a 16OB.:lookaroun

WHY, did this boat not catch on???
In pic #1 (Geoos) it looks heavily wetted at speed. Was the missing 700 pounds in back a problem with this hull?
I know what an 18 steers like, especially coming off the throttle, when she is nose down. It is not pretty. Was this boat susceptible to this?

Geoo....
If you score a 16OB, I would try to get one of the few remaining 2.5's or go with the Merc 300X... plenty of go fast parts available! Your gonna want to rig the boat with a jackplate too... I recommend the Stainless Marine Gorilla...
